Kath needs to raise £10,000 to fund her voyage to Antarctica to take part in a leadership initiative for women in science (and STEMM).
Each participant of Homeward Bound must raise ~£15,000 to participate in this global leadership initiative. Kath has already been sponsored a hugely generous £5000 from Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships (KESS) to participate in the online video workshops being delivered 2022-2023 and now needs to raise a further £10,000 to secure her place aboard ship for the voyage in 2024. To raise this money Kath, her family and friends are going to race 10,000 miles over the next 12 months, hoping to raise £1 for every 1 mile they log. They will be running, hiking, paddle-boarding, climbing, cycling or doing any sport to race to their goal. |
